Casa Mexicana

Casa Mexicana, published by Thames & Hudson in 2025, is a coffee-table book that celebrates contemporary domestic architecture in Mexico.

Shot over a period of around ten years by Edmund Sumner, the book showcases 26 stunning houses by architects including Tadao Ando, Fernanda Canales and Ludwig Godefroy.

I was commissioned by T&H to design the book from scratch, which involved coming up with a strong typographic treatment, and then laying out all 304 pages of content. The headline type is set in Bonto by Blaze Type, with the body copy in Aperçu by Colophon. The book is quarter-bound, with a pink uncoated stock on the spine that is foil-blocked in orange.
