New Acres is a development of brand new apartments and retail spaces adjacent to Wandsworth Town station in South West London. I was commissioned by Bureau BCM, working for Legal & General, to art direct & design a new brochure for the retail aspect of the development.
The brief was to attract innovative businesses to the area, creating ‘the home for independents in the heart of Wandsworth’.
The brochure embraces bold typography, using a distinctly English type style that nods to a history of craft and commerce. To create a tactile, impactful piece of print, the 8-page soft cover was foil blocked onto bright yellow. A gatefold spread reveals plans & maps, and intricate illustrations by Josh Patterson create a sense of this newly-evolving community.
