‘Peter’s Fish Factory’ is a photograph from summer 2021, taken in a fish & chip shop in Ramsgate, Kent. I was delighted that the image was selected and shown as part of the RA Summer Exhibition 2025.
For context, shown here are some other photos from the same trip to Ramsgate. It was a very strange time, the second ‘summer of Covid’, with many restrictions still in place. Dining indoors was prohibited, hence the strangely empty restaurant.
I was blown away by the response to the image; it seemed to really resonate with people. The edition of 15 prints sold out on the opening day of the Summer Exhibition, but you can still buy my zine 48 photographs from the last 5 years which features the photograph.
