I am always taking pictures of signs, and those that particularly appeal to me are hand-written. I find a certain beauty in this form of communication — in a way, they are graphic design at its purest, devoid of frills, the message conveyed loud and clear.
In an age where more and more of the things we read are on a screen, I love seeing hand-written notes dotted around a city. They reveal a human side to the place; imperfect and charming.
